Bio
Lanie Smith - Editor at The Vintage Cook, Recipe developer, seasoned food blogger/writer, and self-proclaimed Fondipper. (Yes, that’s a person who loves dipping their food in all the sauces!)
My journey into the world of dipping began at 16, when I ordered a six-piece Chicken McNuggets and realized one BBQ sauce just wasn’t enough. I asked for “one of each” sauce, and that’s when I knew: I had a thing for dipping.
With a BA in Mass Media from Washburn University, Topeka, KS, (2010) I’ve spent years honing my skills in recipe creation and publication. I’ve won several National Cooking contests and have a massive library collection of cookbooks.
Now, I combine my love for food, history, and a good dip to bring you delicious recipes, kitchen tips, and a whole lot of saucy inspiration.
Whether it’s a vintage recipe with a modern twist or a deep dive into the perfect dip pairings, I’m here to help you elevate every bite. So grab your favorite sauce, and let’s get dipping!
